The PR Precision Tikka T3 / T3x Bolt Body is CNC machined and Nitrided for excellent long term durability and corrosion resistance. The Tikka Bolt Bodies have been the final missing link to making major caliber change on Tikka platform. Now with availability of PR Precision Tikka Bolt Bodies, pre-fit barrels and bolt stops, you can plan your major Tikka caliber change.

Tech Note:

While Tikka actions/barrels are very consistent, the PR Precision Tikka Bolt Bodies are not “drop in” parts. Head Space must be verified by a qualified gunsmith.

When and why do we need to use a different Tikka Bolt Body:

The following is an example (converting 6.5 Creedmoor (6.5C) to 7mm PRC (7PRC) and needs to be discussed and installed by a professional gunsmith.

Converting a Tikka T3x from 6.5 Creedmoor (6.5C) to 7mm PRC (7PRC) requires addressing three critical components. While all Tikka T3x receivers utilize the exact same frame size, the 6.5C is a short-action, standard bolt-face cartridge, whereas the 7PRC is a long-action, magnum bolt-face cartridge.

7PRC Barrel: A pre-fit Tikka barrel or a blank turned by a gunsmith (for both options visit our Tikka Performance Center).
Magnum Bolt Body: You need a Tikka bolt body with a magnum bolt face. (review your options in this page).
Long Action Bolt Stop: The 6.5C uses a short-action bolt stop. You need a Tikka long-action bolt stop to allow the bolt to pull back far enough to cycle the longer 7PRC cartridge (visit our Tikka Performance Center).
Magazine: Use appropriate size factory Tikka magnum magazine, or an appropriate AICS compatible size magazine with AICS compatible chassis (Visit our Tikka Performance Center).
