Area 419 is always developing new technologies to improve on existing products. Each Area 419 Tikka T3 / T3x Improved Scope Base is machined from 7075 aluminum using their 4-axis HAAS VMX. All of the sharp edges have been cleaned, corners radiused and any potential snagging spots on the rail have been removed giving the entire unit a durable, sleek look.
The Improved Scope Base ships with the stainless recoil pin for receivers that have an available mounting hole; however, the rail will still fit on rifle receivers that do not have a mounting hole.
