The Arisaka QD Mount Tripod Adapter makes it easy to attach QD sling swivels to anything with a 1/4"-20 threaded hole, like most shooting tripods. The socket itself is an anti-rotation design, and includes a 1/4"-20 screw and Nord-Lock washer to secure it to the tripod.
Tech Note:
If your tripod has a larger thread, such as 3/8"-16, then a flush mount thread reducer is required. An example of a tripod with a 3/8"-16 accessory hole is the Sunwayfoto Tactical Carbon Fiber Tripods and Leupold Mark 5 CF-455.
For 3/8"-16 Arisaka recommends the E-Z LOK model 319-4 paired with their 500-2 drive tool. You can also find inexpensive thread reducers for 3/8"-16 at most photography suppliers, but make sure that whichever reducer you pick is flush mount, as it is important that the Nord-Lock washer rests on the tripod body and not the reducer, or else the mount can loosen during use.
Please note: Nord-Lock washers consist of two sides that are attached together with a drop of adhesive. The adhesive is not functional - it simply keeps the two sides aligned during installation. If the washer comes apart it is not a problem. The large tooth sides face each other, with the small tooth sides facing outwards.
