KG-12 was developed to clean the copper fouling from large bore military weapons. KG-12 will provide shooters with a product which will remove the toughest of copper fouling without harming any other metal. Unlike other etching and ammonia based cleaners KG-12 will not hurt the metal of the bore. There is no need to "neutralize" KG-12 as is required or recommended with other ammonia based products and there is no need to "get it out quick" unlike ammonia based enchants. KG-12 contains no ammonia, is water based and contains no synthetics.
We recommend KG-12 to be used in the second step of the cleaning process after KG-1 Carbon Remover.
Field tested on the 155 howitzers and other large bore weapons with outstanding results. When used in conjunction with KG-2, KG-3 and KG-4 you will find no better cleaning system on the market.

Best copper remover on the market isn't what KG Industries said, it was an independent tester, who said it.
A Barnes .338, 210gr projectile was used in this test and each bullet was weighed before, 19 hours in, then an additional 5 hours. This 24 hour test was not done at the KG factory or at the request of KG Industries, but they were thrilled to see the results. As you can see in the graph, KG-12 removed copper more than 3 times better than the next manufacturer.
There are many companies who use their product and they private label several other companies cleaners and lubricants. Accuracy International is one company who gives a small bottle of cleaner with every rifle they sell.
One bit of information that is critical, is that because KG-12 doesn't use Ammonia in our cleaner, the patches won't turn blue (which is a reaction with copper and Ammonia), but the brownish/grey coloration means its working and working well.
