This device allows you to dryfire practice in a very small area using your rifle and optic (Mid-Range Tactical or Long-Range Scopes). With this aperture lens system adapter, most scopes focus in the 11-15 feet range with about 6 inches of depth of field. By increasing your parallax distance, you can sometimes increase the focal distance. With proper lighting you can use your scope at maximum magnification. Perfect for use in the house, in the garage or a small backyard. Use this device to practice different positions, balance points on the rifle, slung vs. unslung and various support bag combinations.

We have found the D.F.A.T to be extremely valuable in determining how small we can make our "wobble" with non-prone positions. Usually shooters can get a good idea of their abilities and improvements by dry firing on known "MOA" size targets.

The newest lenses are higher optical clarity BK7 glass instead of the standard optical grade plastic lenses. These lenses need to pass higher visual acuity than the Gen 1 DFATs.

This package includes "TARGET PACK #2" 10 - 7.5"x11" High Resolution DFAT Range #13-22 with a variety of targets printed on heavy paper.

 

How to order the correct D.F.A.T HD for your scope?

  1. Find the correct combination D.F.A.T HD and Adapter Ring based on your scope (make/model/maginfication) or outter Objective size. E.g. Tangent Theta TT525P or 58mm Objective Size
  2. Order the complete system based on the finding. E.g. 55mm D.F.A.T GEN2 HD with 58mm Thread Adapter Ring Fits Scopes (55mm-58mm)

    The Gen 2 version of the D.F.A.T has the aperture lens system held within a threaded aluminum sunshade. The D.F.A.T GEN2 has been manufactured with very tight tolerances and very precise.
